My private practice as a psychoanalyst is based on personal and family life stressors. We have all felt the devastating effects of COVID 19 and the anxiety of life and death issues that the pandemic has brought about individually and socially. I have been a practicing psychoanalyst and psychologist for over twenty years and have never experienced the current level of need for individual reflection and life transformation. I view the mind and body as one and treat physical symptoms as a pathway for heightened conscious awareness, which can contribute to psychological health. I believe that the mind and body are intimately connected and one cannot be successfully treated without the other. My NYS dual licenses in psychoanalysis and acupuncture and training with the University of Arizona’s Integrative Medicine Program as well as continued studies in neuroscience has greatly influenced my private practice.
